Movie Review: The Hunger Games 2012 Movie

The Hunger Games 2012 Movie is an upcoming science fiction, action drama film set to be released on March 23, 2012. The film is based on the best-selling futuristic young adult novel written by Suzanne Collin’s and it depicts the story of a dystopic Capitol which requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl who are forced to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a kind of fight to the death featured on live TV.

This year, the Capitol is once again choosing 12 pairs for the Hunger Games. The two young representatives from each district are being selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. The game is part entertainment and part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts and the game is being televised and broadcasted all throughout the entire Panem.

In the game, the 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, until finally one will be left and will be declared as the winner of that year’s game. When the 16-year old Katniss’ young sister, Prin, was selected to be the representative of their mining district, Katniss volunteered on her part because she thinks that she is too young to die and she is not capable of protecting herself more than her. Katniss and her male counterpart, Peetah, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives. But the two will be changing the rule of the game, and this is what you need to find out.

Directed by Gary Ross and produced by Nina Jacobsons, The Hunger Games Movie will be starred by Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Liam Hemsworth as Gale, and a lot more.
